Neeru has an accomplished academic background with Bachelors and Masters in English, MBA and a diploma in Finance. She has utilized her qualifications and strengths to progress her career at a steady pace over the last 20 years. She is currently working as a Project Manager and team lead at Cisco.
Neeru immigrated to the USA from India almost 15 years ago and experienced firsthand the vast differences in the education systems between India and USA through the eyes of her two young sons, Akul and Nipun. She doesn't hesitate to voice her opinions and suggestions on various platforms including local schools, FUSD and California Department of Education.
She has volunteered countless hours serving Parkmont Elementary and Hopkins Junior High over the last 9 years and is an active PTA member. She is a firm believer in enriching children's education experience outside of a school setting and ran a 2-year after-school program working with kids in the neighborhood — which motivated her to run an after-school at a larger scale and share her learning with other children outside of her neighborhood.
